Housing

  • Emergency Housing – If you have had a long day on campus and are too tired to drive
    home, or in the case of inclement weather, Residence Life has set aside a small number
    of beds for you.  Available on a first come, first serve basis, at a small cost, emergency
    housing is offered  for one or two nights. Contact 654-5862 for more information.
  • Off Campus Housing – An updated list of off campus housing options are available to all students during office hours. If you live at a distance from the College you may call 654-5862 and someone will help you with your search.
  • Living on CampusIf you decide to move on campus, contact Ms. Rosann Santos-Elliott at 654-5369 or rsantos@cnr.edu. You can also click here for the Residence Life page.

Lockers — Don’t feel like dragging your books back and forth from home?  Lockers are available in the basement of the Mooney Center to allow Commuters to store textbooks, clothing or other items.  You must provide your own lock. For more information contact Ms. Connie Mullen 654-5203.

Lounges are located on the first floor of the Mooney Center, the second floor of the Student Campus Center, and in the Library Café. They provide vending, a TV and comfortable seating for commuter students who are in between classes, waiting for a ride, or just need a moment to relax. And don’t forget to stop by the Wellness Center to unwind!

Parking Tags are available to Commuter students through the Security Office for $5. Pick up your tag before you park to ensure that you will not be ticketed. If you choose to park on local city streets, please be sure to read the posted signage regarding City of New Rochelle parking regulations.

Transportation

  • Metro Cards — Metro Cards are now available through the Student Development Office, located in Student Campus Center, Room 231.
  • Bus/Train Schedules— Time Schedules for the Bee Line Bus System and Metro North are located on the windowsill of the 2nd floor of the Student Campus Center near the Commuter Bulletin Board.
  • Voicemail — Commuters can apply for a personal, CNR voicemail account, easily accessed on or off-campus. Contact Information Systems at 654-5012 to set up your account.
