Joan Bristol Mary White

Joan Bristol, MS
Vice President for Student Services

Upon completing a baccalaureate degree at State University of New York at Brockport and a Master of Science degree in Education at State University of New York at Albany, Joan Bristol joined The College of New Rochelle as Dean of Students. After nearly a decade of service, Ms. Bristol assumed her current position of Vice President for Student Services. As the chief student affairs officer for the college, she is a key member of the Executive Team and is tireless in her commitment to facilitating learning environments that foster respect for and growth of the individual in the context of community. Ms. Bristol has served on numerous Middle States Accreditation teams, and participated in the Summer 2001 Harvard Institute for Educational Management (IEM). An active member of the New Rochelle community as well, Ms. Bristol serves as President of the Residence Park Neighborhood and Civic Association, Co-chair of the Confederation of Neighborhood Associations and Delegate of the Inter-religious Council of New Rochelle. In recognition of her outstanding commitment to service, Ms. Bristol was acknowledged in 1999 with the YMCA Service Award, and most recently as the recipient of the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce 2005 Women of Excellence Award for Community Service.


Mary White, MA
Assistant Vice President for Student Services

Mary White completed her baccalaureate degree at State University of New York College at Oneonta and a Master of Arts degree in Psychology at Hofstra University prior to her arrival at The College of New Rochelle. Ms. White began her career at CNR as Coordinator of Residence Operations, then continued on as Director of Student Life and Housing and Director of Student Services. Ms. White assumed broader divisional responsibility for administration, technology, publications, and the college calendar as Executive Director of Student Services.  After serving for a number of years in the latter capacity, Ms. White was promoted to Assistant Vice President for Student Services. Ms. White is a dedicated and caring member of student services and the college community. She has served on numerous college-wide committees and is a member of several professional organizations, including ACUHO-I and NASPA.
