Application Requirements

Freshman Application

After submitting your application, the following documents are required to complete your application:

  • High School Transcript
  • SAT or ACT scores — The school code for the College Board is 2089 to submit your SAT scores. The ACT school code is 2712.
  • Two letters of recommendation (optional, but highly recommended)
  • Personal Statement — Students applying for the School of Nursing & Healthcare Professions must explain why they want to enter this profession and study nursing at The College of New Rochelle.

Freshman International Applicants

Applicants who are not a citizens or permanent residents of the United States and have studied outside of the U.S. are considered international applicants and must submit the following documents in order for their application to be reviewed:

  • High School Transcript
  • Standardized Test scores — SAT or ACT
  • TOEFL
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Personal Statement
  • Certificate of Finances

Transfer Applicants - New Transfer Student

  • Admission Requirements:
    • Official college transcripts from all schools attended
    • Official test scores: TEAS, HESI, SAT or ACT
    • Personal Statement discussing “Why I wish to be a nurse and study at The College of New Rochelle”
    • Letters of Recommendation (optional)

Transfer International Applicants

Students who are not permanent residents of the United States and have completed college course work outside the U.S. are considered transfer international applicants, and the following documents are required:

  • Official College Transcript(s), including an application from a NACES approved organization
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Personal Statement
  • Certificate of Finances

RN-BSN Applicants

  • A copy of a valid, signed New York state professional registered nurse license
  • Personal statement
  • A college transcript

  • Freshman and Transfer applications are accepted on a rolling basis.  Clinical spots are offered to accepted clinical-ready transfer students on a first-come first-served basis.
