In November, Tiffani Blake, dean of students, and Leslie Valero, a senior in the School of Nursing & Healthcare Professions, traveled to Alabama to attend the Healthy Churches 2020 Conference sponsored by the Balm in Gilead, an organization dedicated to helping African-American faith communities in the U.S. and East Africa eliminate health disparities through educational programs and services.

On Wednesday, November 14, CNR hosted a thought-provoking lecture on the results of the 2018 mid-term election. Co-presenters Dr. Stephen O’Rourke, Associate Professor of Psychology, and Dr. Daniel McCarthy, Associate Professor of Political Science and chair of the Division of Social Sciences, broke down the factors that they thought played a role in voter turnout, the election process, the strategies used by the two major parties, and the results.

Women's Volleyball Claims Sixth-Straight HVIAC Title

CNR’s women's volleyball team took home their sixth straight Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) Championship title earlier this month without dropping a set. The win extends the Lady Angels win streak in conference and tournament play to 34 matches going back to the 2013 season.

Student Spotlight: Kevin Bracey

Kevin Bracey is a busy man. He manages the Environmental Services team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, is a partner and chief of marketing for the new PLUSH Vodka brand, and gives back to his community through his work with numerous organizations, including the Harlem Chamber of Commerce and The One Hundred Black Men, Inc. Yet despite all of those responsibilities, he is also focused on earning his bachelor’s degree in psychology from CNR’s School of New Resources.
