Nursing Students Receive White Coats as New Tradition Begins at CNR

A new tradition began at CNR on Monday, October 1, as more than 100 nursing students participated in the College’s first White Coat Ceremony. The ceremony, which was initiated in 1993 by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, is now held at hundreds of schools throughout the country to mark the start of clinical practice. In addition to reciting the oath to compassionate patient care, students are officially “cloaked” in the iconic white coat that signifies their status as healthcare professionals.
